Are OnStar services available after the end date?
No. All OnStar services in Europe, and WiFi services using OnStar hardware, will end after 31 December 2020.
Can I still buy OnStar core services and Wi-Fi until the Service ends?
Yes. You can continue to buy OnStar core service subscriptions and Wi-Fi data packages from OnStar Europe Ltd and the nominated mobile network operator for use before 31 December 2020. Services will end after 31 December 2020.
Will OnStar's automatic crash response remain active after the end date?
No. All OnStar services in Europe will end after 31 December 2020.
I paid for an OnStar package directly through my retailer, and the package runs past 2020. What will happen?

I've paid for an OnStar package directly through OnStar which runs past 2020. What will happen?
The OnStar service will remain in effect until 31 December 2020. We'll pay any balance refunds in line with applicable terms and conditions.
Is OnStar owned by Opel/Opel?
No. OnStar is a service owned and operated by OnStar Europe Limited, a General Motors company.
What happens to current OnStar subscribers?
If you're a subscriber, you can continue benefiting from OnStar services until 31 December 2020. Services will end after this date.
What will OnStar do with my data after 31 December 2020?
OnStar and General Motors only processes and stores your data for as long as needed, and only for purposes you've agreed in our Privacy Statement. For example, if you've bought a subscription from us, we're required to keep your data for up to 10 years due to audit processes that must be carried out. For more information about how we use your data, please refer to our Privacy Statement.
Why is the OnStar Service ending?
In August 2017, Groupe PSA (today: Stellantis NV) bought the Opel and Opel car brands from General Motors. OnStar Europe Limited wasn't part of this purchase and is still owned by General Motors.
So OnStar services and Wi-Fi services enabled by the OnStar connection (if available in your country) will end for Opel, Opel, Cadillac and Chevrolet cars on 31 December 2020.

Will my retailer still receive vehicle information from my car after the end date?
No. Retailers who were chosen by customers to receive OnStar vehicle data won't receive any after 31 December 2020.
Will OnStar no longer be available in europe?
OnStar services won't be available after 31 December 2020. We understand some customers may worry about this affecting their OnStar service. But we assure all customers with trial or paid subscriptions that OnStar will continue to deliver the same exceptional service and peace of mind right up to that date.
Will OnStar services still be available until 31 December 2020?
Yes. OnStar Europe Ltd remains focused on delivering the same exceptional service right up until 31 December 2020.
Will OnStar still have access to my vehicle's data after the end date?
No. OnStar only receives data to provide services to its customers. After 31 December 2020 the services will end, and OnStar Europe Ltd won't receive vehicle data after this date.
Will OnStar's stolen vehicle Service still work after the end date?
No. All OnStar services in Europe will end after 31 December 2020.
Will Wi-Fi still work in my car after 31 December 2020?
No. Your Wi-Fi service will end after this date
